For twenty two years I've driven past this place promising to set foot on it someday, to take pictures and honor the legacy which it represents. In my time living in Pennsylvania I have probably witnessed two Native American Nations Gatherings (Pow Wow)on this ground, evoking images and sentiments of a once proud and autonomous people. I'm happy that history conscientious people and conservationist have seen fit in collaboration with Native People groups to preserve this place-space monument for all peoples.
I'm a lover of monuments and of those that are not only symbolic but have time continuum relation with historical events - the very spot/place. That someone has meticulously preserved that knowledge in the face of secularism - its me gratification and shallow values - and continues to do so in this generation might be a reason for hope.    Read moreThis is a great park for walking, but people do not keep their dogs under control. When you are walking on the path that is adjacent to the dog park almost every time dog owners allow their dogs to run toward you and jump on you. If you are not comfortable with dogs you don't know, or you have small children or an elderly parent or anyone with balance issues, be careful walking past the dog park due to owners not making their dogs behave. I don't find it funny or endearing to be rushed by dogs I don't know. I also don't like large dogs rushing at my small dog and often I have to pick him up to keep large dogs away from him. This area should be fenced in from the path so that the dogs stop approaching people on the path. That area also often smells very unpleasant so clearly some dog owners are not cleaning up...
