I went to this campground with my family and at 10:15 pm ranger Mike came walking up aggressively toward our site and asked us to ‘be quiet’ as he ‘could hear us from the road’ we did have our radio on, probably volume 5, and he started walking away and then turned around to tell us to turn off the radio too, which we did. He then proceeds to the campsite next to us and tells them the same thing. We say ‘we can’t hear them’ and they reply ‘thank you’ and so he comes back, knocks on our lean-to louder than ANY of us were talking and says ‘I just asked you guys to be quiet and to turn off your radio’ we said ‘it is off’ and he says ‘no you only turned it off because you saw me coming’ mind you, it had been off since he asked us. Then he goes back to the other site he had already been to. And on his way back comes over, very aggressively, and says ‘I’m here cleaning bathrooms during a pandemic for you! You can find another camp ground’ We proceeded to tell him how rude he was and that we wouldn’t be back. Ranger Mike has SDE, and a power trip problem. He was shaking as he was saying the last sentence to us and stormed off. Molly Stark; get better ‘rangers’ And as a Vermont Local, We...

We stayed three nights in this lovely little spot in mid July, '24. Absolutely amazed at the care that is taken in maintaining this property and making sure that its campers enjoy their time there. From the beautiful campsites to the immaculate restroom and shower facilities, this is one of our new favorite campgrounds! We knew we would be coming in past closing, so we called. The on site managers made sure that our check in information was waiting for us in a safe spot. They also provided valuable information about the showers which do require tokens that can be purchased at the camp office. (1 token = 5 minutes) Each campsite has either a metal fire ring or a stone fire pit as well as an intentionally placed stump as a place to sit by the fire or a place to set your things next to the fire. We also loved the fact that none of Vermont's state parks have electricity at their sites. They do allow generators but have firm guidelines for when they can be run, allowing 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. Excellent supply of firewood for sale on site for very reasonable price. Great hiking trails nearby. Can't wait to revisit this one next time...

Actually we just stopped off here to use the restroom and we've been here a number of times in the past great place to have a picnic.for those who would like to go camping they do have campsites along with some nice sites for RV vehicles. You're right down the hill from I believe it's called hogback mountain.if you stop off here in a clear day as we did there's a nice little store in there that you can buy a lot of knickknacks and maple syrup and other things for the tourists. Unfortunately the restrooms are closed because of the pandemic.I always find that annoying it's simply to me it's the staff being lazy and not wanting to clean the bathrooms.if the weather is really nice you can see all the way down into Connecticut probably a hundred mile view I would say. Down the hill from here is the Dutton farm stand, which always has a lot of good quality produce I'm surprised they actually still have their own raspberries I would have thought they would have been killed off by the frost but it looked like.they do make a lot of pies and such and breads they have their own bakery right there...

This is by far the most well maintained park/camp ground I have ever been to. Myself, my dog, and 4 other friends camped here for two nights. Park manager Jim was incredibly nice and helpful, and he was particularly helpful when we had a little confrontation with a very ornery old man. The hike up Mt. Olga was also really nice, would love to come back when the tower is in service!

The hike to the fire tower at Mount Olga isn't very long, but it is moderately strenuous and probably qualified as very technical. Has some pretty sharp elevation gain and you have to contend with a plethora of rocks and and when its wet, its treacherous. Still, the view from the top of the fire tower is fabulous. Except for the cell tower they put up right next to it.

Cute, clean campground. Small, quiet, family and adult friendly- most campsites are wooded, some in a field. Does get highway traffic but you can also hear wildlife, owls, loons and see the stars at night. Firewood for sale on site. Rangers are attentive and provide great tips, even for rainy days. Day use area has grills and pavilion. Volleyball court.
