Angry face....angry face...angry face....used this facility to renew my vows on January 12, 2019...the house itself if beautiful but the wedding official they use is a rip off...going by the name Taya Shepard Dianna on Facebook or Altered Vows...she charged 150.00 for the service and 75.00 for the pictures...we arrived at the house and lady kept telling us she would be there any minute when she did arrive she called my husband the wrong name not once but twice before and during our vows...we told her we had had a problem with a photographer and his pictures so we wanted them on a disc...she told us she was leaving to go on a 2 week vacation which in hindsight she should have never had the service knowing she was not going to do anything with the pictures during that time...she used her Samsung Notebook phone to take the pictures so she could have sent them to us automatically...thank goodness my girlfriend was there and was taking pictures also and had sent them all to us before we got back home to North Carolina....on January 26, 2019 I text her asking about the pics since I had had NO word from her...she sent them the next day but they were pixelated and we wanted them on a disc like we had discussed...she then asked for my address, which I gave her....February 4th, 2019 she text me saying she hasn't forgotten about me but she hasn't had time...getting ready to go on another vacation and she was hoping to look at them that week....February 8th, 2019 I text her saying that there was still no disc in the mailbox and she had no problem taking the CASH!!!!! Now she is telling me her dog knocked her laptop off the coffee table and she can't do anything at all....does she not remember carrying a bunch of bags around the mansion but only using her cellphone to take the pictures??? She also mentioned she did call my husband by several different names and that we all laughed...what did she think we were gonna do...complain and ruin it even more??? VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! DO NOT USE HER...

Rockwood Park & Museum in Wilmington, Delaware, is a historical treasure that beckons visitors with its Gothic Revival architecture and picturesque landscape. Built between 1851 and 1854 by Joseph Shipley, a Quaker merchant banker, the estate was designed to emulate the beauty of an English country estate. Today, the museum offers a glimpse into the lifestyle of the Shipley, Bringhurst, and Hargraves families during the turn of the 20th century. With its 170-year-old gardens and a variety of events, including yoga and guided tours, Rockwood provides a unique blend of cultural enrichment and natural splendor. Whether it’s exploring the grandeur of the mansion or enjoying the tranquility of the gardens, Rockwood Park & Museum is a captivating destination...

Rockwood Park & Museum in Wilmington Delaware is an awesome place with beautiful gardens and walking trails and Museum building....with gothic revival architecture and the exhibits reflects the life style (with so many items on display) of the Quaker Family/ Bringhurst Family during the period of 1850s and afterwards .. Generally one need to be a member or need to pay to visit the Museum but we had an opportunity to visit during Pre Christmas time when the visiting was for free( First Sunday of every month also FREE). Enchanting lighting arrangements and children activities, Music & Dance programs and big queue to Santa was another attraction in the chilly evening....

Does Rockwood seem haunted to you?! I’ve actually never been inside the mansion even though we come here all the time, but from the outside it is a little creepy, especially when it’s getting dark out! But this is one of our favorite parks because it’s so open that my toddler and dog can run around without us worrying much about anyone else, especially during the week. Plus most of the trails are stroller friendly and it’s so beautiful! And even at its busiest on the weekends, it’s sooo big and there are so many trails that it never feels too crowded. ✨Hi! I’m Rachel - mom to a toddler and baby, sharing all of our family’s favorite things in and around Delaware! From restaurants to activities to local businesses, you can find it here. Beautiful House built in 1850s and modeled after a house in Wyncote near Liverpool, England. We enjoyed looking at all the rooms, it was still decorated for Christmas which made it more charming. The guide told us lots of interesting facts about the families that lived there - the Shipleys and the Bringhursts. I especially loved the staircase and the conservatory and second floor atrium off the bedroom. The gardens and trails looked nice but it was a cold day so we’ll have to go back another time for that. Entrance fee was only $10 for self-guided tour. Check website for days they are open.

We went for junior business event. My daughter was there on behalf of the rescue she started Hickman hollow farm. The place is beautiful and full of historic information and old buildings. They have tours gardens and events all the time. The people are friendly there is tons of parking. When we were there they even had food trucks. I would definitely check it out if u are in the area but I would call to see what events are being held first.
