Went in to buy green (raw) peanuts- they had them at almost $3.00 per pound (which in my opinion is incredibly high), but there was no scale to weigh them available except at the counter. I asked the girl how many scoops she thought would be 2 lbs, to which she shrugged and said maybe 3. I had my baby in my arms the entire time, no other customers were in the store and there was an older man reading the paper behind the counter. You'd think one of them would've offered to help me, but they didn't even greet me when I walked in. As I struggled to scoop these nuts, I started really looking at them. They were totally dried out. I asked them how old they were and this is when the old guy finally decided to acknowledge me. He said he'd had them for about 2 weeks. I'm from the south Georgia area and I know that green peanuts can be stored for up to 2 weeks in a refrigerated environment, but not outside in the heat! I cannot believe these "farmers" are trying to sale these dried out, old peanuts for $3.00 a pound and we're not very friendly on top of it. No wonder boiled peanuts aren't...
Read moreTried to buy a Christmas tree arrived at 1:56 PM and they close at 2 PM but we had no idea they did. Saw 2 employee's go by us and didn't tell us they were closing! They even saw us walking towards the Christmas trees! I would have no problem with them closing but you would think they would tell us as we walk to the tree's! So we looked for about 6 minutes and found the one we wanted and saw the store part of the farm. Walked there and saw they had hours of operation behind the tinted doors. We were in shock as we left because I finally found the closed "sign" if u want to call it that. It was 2 foot square at the road hanging like a decoration. It wasn't up when we arrived. As we were leaving another family drove up and got out. I can't believe they can't get a thin rope chain and run around the lot then simply put closed signs on the rope. A...
Read moreWent there on a field trip with my nephew, and we had a blast. The kids picked strawberries, and the staff was so helpful and kind. They have a super big slide that the kids loved. Not to mention all the animals on the property. We were also able to find gems and crystals. There was also a big bouncy thing they jumped on. Also, they rode behind the gator on the cutest little set up with different colored seats. They also have a snack bar and plenty of table to sit at. I can't wait till the fall when they start the pumpkin patch and corn maze. We will...
