My friend and I scheduled & participated in a tour of this lovely farm many weeks ago. The owner is lovely & warm, willing to educate us on how donkeys interact and how we could make the most of our visit. It was fun having others join in the tour, a great way to socialize with fellow animal lovers. They do have a donation jar that they do not push on visitors, but I strongly suggest people donate. This is essentially a one woman show and it’s very hard work, she takes time out to share her animals and farm with the public. I’d love to see some strong reliable volunteers show up to help with some of the chores, she expressed the need for that. We want to see this farm flourish for a long time, hoping the community values it too and will step in and offer a hand...
Read moreMarvelous little farm! My kids (girl age 3 and boy almost 2) just adored the friendly horses and donkeys! Great gift shop with a very cool selection of authentic cowboy boots. We bought a pair for our 3 year old and she was just thrilled!! It was fun to support a local farm and also get her a "real" pair of cowboy boots (instead of the kind you can just buy at Target or something like that)! All the boots are second hand and personally selected by the owner, Toni (she was awesome), the pair we got for my daughter were originally picked up by Toni in Montana! Kind of fun to hear the backstory. We highly...
Read moreWe had a great visit at Tollen Farm. Tonie is so kind and welcoming. She introduced us to the mini donkeys and taught us many things about them. I had no idea a mini could be pregnant for 14 months! There's a very sweet pregnant mama there now, due in July. It was amazing to see and feel her belly full of baby. We also got to meet the rescue horses that live on the farm. Highly recommend visiting Tollen Farm! Just watch closely for the sign and turn to the farm, because it's easy to miss. Also, remember to leave a donation for the donkeys, because Tonie welcomes people to her farm and gives of her time...
