Platt Hill State Park Scenic Reserve — Attraction in Winchester

Parking is very limited sadly and since their is snow still around its kind of blocked off but their is a small place for like 2, 3 cars. it was okay but no map or any blazes to really figure it out where your going you can do a loop and their are trails all over just clueless on any kind o guide. the snow for me running was tough and i spoke to some one today who said he came across 6 or 7 coyotes so i would be careful on that as well. minus the snow it might be better to do...

Beautiful, quiet park which needs some TLC. There are no maps and the trails are not marked, but you come across occasional blazes. We found ourselves on a trail marked with pink duct tape that will be amazingly beautiful when the large amount of mountain laurel is in bloom. Beautiful open spaces to run, one very easy trail loop with an overlook and picnic tables. No facilities. If you go off the main loop, watch where you go. There is currently very little maintenance of this park due to DEEP oversight and the trails are not marked. It's a great place to picnic but please be prepared to take out everything...
