Louisiana Political Museum — Attraction in Winnfield

Neat little museum on Louisiana politics nestled in the downtown area. The main attraction is the Long family but there are exhibits on several hundred other Louisiana politicians and lots of reading materials. It could take hours to go through it all: we browsed a bit at some of the names we recognized. The museum is free and I believe staffed with friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. We attended a wedding shower in their event space, and it was just beautiful. I highly recommend reserving this venue for a unique event with beautiful decor and the feeling of being immersed in history. The kitchen space was great for food preparation. The parking is close.
