Do it, stop by. 100% worth it. It’s a wild, whimsical, overgrown folk art garden and there’s nothing quite like it anywhere else.
First off, the garden is in Christy’s yard, and you park in the driveway. I went to the website and texted her that I was coming by. She wasn’t home but said it was fine.
The garden is full of wonders and cats. So many cats. Christy says most are feral and just showed up. I suspect neighbors are dropping off unwanted kittens. They are super cute and super friendly, but some look a little worse for the wear.
Every turn held another delight. You really can’t take any one piece in, it’s a combined experience, though of course I’m sure Christy spent a lot of time on each installation.
A word of warning: if you don’t like spiders, you should keep a sharp eye out because several spots in the garden were thoroughly booby trapped with webs. They’re easy to spot if you’re looking for them.
