We were heading back to the Twin Cities after a college tour in Winona and really wanted one more scenic bluff to explore. The park is conveniently located just off the highway. It only took about 20 min. of stair climbing (589 steps to be exact, if you're counting) to hike to the top - and as the photos prove - it was well worth it!

If you enjoy hiking, this bluff was so stiff to climb on. It has an amazing view from the top. Make sure you bring water. :) I kid you not you'll need it.

The parking area is small and could use a better day use area at the bottom. The hike is a ton of steps but the views from atop the bluff are awesome.

stairs were in rough shape, watch your step. nothing there except the 500+ staircase that is obviously in need of maintenance. went on a Saturday and your have to constantly shuffle by people who are resting or need to step aside to let people that are coming down get by. This detracted from the experience for me.

If I lived near by I would go here early in the morning for a...
