+JMJ...Saturday, 19 September 2020. What an awesome surprise to learn about this 9-11 Memorial. Emotionally touching to see part of the Trade Center placed on a lovely, grassy parcel of land. Deep feeling of sadness but still there was a sense of peace. Many lives were lost that day but the spirit of care and concern was enlivened in those who gave much of their time to rescue those they could and then to give consolations to families who lost loved ones. 😢 I am sure those who stopped to visit the Memorial offered a prayer for all affected. There were many pieces of memorabilia left on and inside the two beams. But, one of the most touching items left was a set of Rosary beads. A prayer tool used to prayerfully meditate on the life of Jesus Christ, God, the Word made flesh. He Who is the Resurrection and the Life. May all who perished on that terrible day be granted eternal peace, love, joy! And, a multitude of "Thank yous! and "God bless yous" be offered for all responsible for allowing that Memorial to be built in...

Winslow Arizona. Ran into this on our way to a "corner in Winslow Arizona" just to say we were there. Had no idea this memorial to 911 and the Winslow first responders even existed. It is exactly what it looks like, an authentic piece of the towers that fell. I, like numerous Americans, lived through it, saw it on T.V., have even been to the crater left after clean up in New York, but I had never seen a piece of the wreckage, let alone touched it. If you get the opportunity, take a few minutes to visit this sobering location. It will touch you and hopefully make you ponder those famous words, "let us...

If old enough, everyone knows where you were during the infamous tragedy of 9-11. Every 9-11 memorial I’ve experienced regardless of dimension or scale forthwith touches my heart and spirit. Here in Winslow AZ stands a memorial to the Victims of that day. It is not massive, it is not large, but is a somber reminder, simply constructed in an open park just as you enter the city. It calls to you as you ponder the fateful day. Pieces of the towers are on display in the most honorable way, allowing you to touch the...

I parked up next to this on a morning with a beautiful blue sky, to pay my respects, being ex military! It's wonderfully laid out in its simplicity and the poignancy is tangible. I decided to touch the beams and it was quite a feeling, taking me back to the horrors, that I watched on the television in utter disbelief, from over in the UK! Well done Winslow for such a beautiful and peaceful place to visit and contemplate the past, present and future of what we do!
