A Perfect Family Day at Land of Natura - Lake Wisconsin Dells
Land of Natura delivered exactly what we were looking for - a unique blend of natural beauty and family fun that sets it apart from the typical Wisconsin Dells experience. This 150-acre natural theme park truly lives up to its promise of being "the first of its kind."
The Lake Experience
The centerpiece, Lake Wisconsin Dells, is genuinely impressive. Marketed as the largest man-made naturally filtered lake in the world, the water was remarkably clean and clear - a refreshing change from chlorinated pools. The chemical-free aspect was immediately noticeable, and swimming felt more like being in a pristine natural lake than a manufactured attraction.
Fun for All Ages
What made our visit special was how well the park catered to different age groups simultaneously. The kids were absolutely thrilled with the inflatable water attractions - essentially bounce house-style fun right on the lake. Watching them jump, climb, and splash around these floating obstacle courses kept them entertained for hours.
Meanwhile, the adults in our group found the perfect balance of relaxation in the comfortable cabanas. Being able to unwind in shade while keeping an eye on the kids created that ideal family vacation dynamic where everyone gets what they need.
The Natural Setting
The park's commitment to maintaining a natural environment really shows. Unlike some of the more commercial attractions in the Dells, Land of Natura feels like you're spending time in nature while still having access to modern amenities and structured fun.
Overall Impression
Land of Natura successfully bridges the gap between outdoor adventure and family entertainment. It's perfect for families looking for something different from the typical waterpark experience - more natural, less crowded, and with that rare combination of excitement for kids and relaxation for adults.
We'll definitely be back next time we're in the Wisconsin Dells area. It's become our new go-to spot for...
Read moreWith this being a man made lake what type of fish are brought in??? I waited alongside the wibbit water course for my toddler to come down a small slide and something got a hold of my foot and put the whole thing in it's mouth! With the water being so merky I couldn't see it but whatever it was wouldn't let go. I had to get up on the side of the inflatable and kick as hard as I could till it released. I pulled myself up on the float and my foot had puncture wholes all across the top in a half circle and was bleeding. I climbed over to the other side and asked my son to climb off so we could swim to shore but when I got down to help him off whatever it was came back and got a hold of me a second time. I was able to kick it off as my son jumped to me and we back paddled to shore. I found a lifeguard and she sprayed antiseptic over the area and offered me bandages. Really gave me a scare and totally...
Read moreLAND OF NATURA The obstacle course should be left to the younger ones :) I lasted about 20 minutes on top and 3x as long swimming around it! The water slides on the hill are fun. Little snorkeling area (5'x20' roughly) had a few larger fish in it, yes, fish! There are smaller fish you swim with as it is a man made lake. Only downside is other than entrance fee, everything else costs $$. $42 per non-alcoholic drink, prices were not listed on the menu! $40 per umbrella and only 2 chairs. Other cabanas for rent $$$$$. We will definitely go back, now knowing what the costs are. Oh, food is good and not...
