I see a lot of reviews for this pond so I am going to clear things up about it. 1. Only go here from mid march to mid November all winter nothing including trout EVER bites anything for me at least. 2. The amount of vegetation in the water is crazy so don’t use largely exposed hooks, buzz bait style top waters or anything that easily gets hung up. 3. I recommend the tucked away ponds I went today and saw some 12-16 trout and smallies back there. 4. The ponds are high and sometimes flooded throughout a good portion of late winter to early summer. 5. Great place for beginner fishing for bluegill trout and bass catfish don’t bite well and there aren’t many but this is a great place for the you or the kids. 6. I recommend power bait for the trout here spinners work but not well and get hung up on vegetation. 7. There are many things to get snagged on including low branches, logs in the middle of ponds and bushes so be careful when casting here. 8. Evening has the best fishing fished for five hours and the fish only came out during the evening. and finally these ponds have so many fish saw 15-20 good sized fish within 30-45 minutes. I hope I was able to clear...
Read moreWhen I was younger, I'd come to this place with my brothers. We had a blast catching bluegill and the occasional stocked trout. We've even caught a catfish and a few bass from here. If that doesn't tell you it's a good place for kids, then let me add that this place has a paved path throughout the ponds. As an adult, I can still say this place is fun to walk around and cast. I took for granted how big this place is, until venturing out to other "ponds" where you can barely cast out. They've cut down some of the trees, so the water is more clear throughout the year. The added room also allows fly fishermen the chance to practice. Anywho, fish here are: stocked trout, sotcked brood trout, largemouth bass, bluegill, black crappie, catfish, and the occasional oddity. Baits: For trout: powerbait or trout magnets. For bass: senkos, crankbaits or topwaters baits. Crappie/Bluegill: nightcrawlers or corn. Catfish:...
Read moreVery unique public fishing ponds. At 1st it looked very unkept and over grown at the 1st pond I saw. The other ponds were much better. They were very fishable with the unusual layout of the ponds. Never saw anything like it. But it really was a great idea! The ponds were very narrow you could cast across most of it. The ponds were series of straight lines and 90° angles. Each pond had a different layout. Today was July 9th 2025 I saw 2 very small bass on a bed. Didn't expect to see that! I saw Fry, bluegill, bass lots of life around the pond. Even saw some cougar tracks. I only got two small bass on a Jackel 3/16 breakblade. Just wasn't the best conditions today! There was a restroom, several garbage cans and a...
