I am still unsure about this church. My issues are 1. there is some sort of a fog that makes my eyes water most of the time I am in there. It literally looks like I am crying the entire time, and I hate that. 2. As I catch up on this series about One Life, there is extensive talk about tithing. I do understand the importance of tithing, but as a newbie, it gives off the impression that they are begging for money. And though I am not in a position to give much, I did give what I could because that's keeps things going. I will continue to attend, and perhaps my mind will change with this next series about what keeps you up at night. I am really looking forward to that.
I think it's amazing that a pastor can broadcast to 6 campuses, and online for people around the world USA, and other countries. Small things like relating bible versus to football (#SKOL) and small mentions of politics- like being kind to people (no matter who they voted for) keeps it interesting and funny and it keeps you from being bored like you may at other churches.
I have a daughter who attending the Wednesday service for middle school students and she thoroughly enjoyed both small group, and Ground Zero. That in itself is enough for most of the stars I give. She can't wait to go back and I am looking forward to bringing my other children on Sunday to...
Read moreEagle Brook is a joyful experience every week. It starts with the folks who great you at the door and then the volunteers who make coffees and lattes to rival Starbucks...at a much better pric...,or bring your own. The seats and auditorium are comfortable and modern. The singers and musicians are God gifted in their talent and joy as they draw the crowd in to sing. I have never seen so many people at church singing their hearts out. You can actually feel the presence of the Holy Spirit . Then comes the sermon...biblically based, and delivered with humor humility and relevant to each and every one of us no matter where you are in life. They make Jesus and God and the Bible real and applicable. The kids programs are fantastic and fun too. With the lights turned down and the technology you are immersed in the experience, and get a break from all of life's difficulties , and in just one hour leave feeling refreshed, hopeful, grateful and ready to take on the week. There are so many ways to get involved and meet others or just come as you are for respite. The church itself doesn't ask you for money each week and has giving boxes if you are able. They also give large amounts of money and help to so many organizations and give back to the local community too. I look forward to...
Read moreWe've never felt so at home in a church as we do here at Eagle Brook. Their messages apply to all ages, young and old. It has helped our family in more ways then we've ever imagined. We leave each service with a lesson that helps us strive to better ourselves as individuals, children of God, parents, husbands/wives, friends, etc. I was lucky enough to have my Birthday fall on a Sunday, so my two teenagers finally agreed to attend a service. Before we left our seats, both kids said they were coming back next week. The following week they ASKED ME if they could attend Rev on Wednesday nights and have ever since. My daughter has also attended the weekend trip and absolutely loves it. My son is now serving in the USAF but attends every time he’s home and has a relationship with God. This church shares wonderful messages of God in a way that we can all understand and relate to. In addition, they’ve never failed at making us laugh during a service. Pastor Bob, Jason... all of the pastors and staff are beautiful human beings. My family and I are so thankful for how they’ve impacted our lives and are truly blessed and proud to call this our...
