I will start out by saying I’m not here to say that the wine being produced here isn’t good, which is the only reason why there is a second star on this review. The two types we tasted before leaving were good. The callous treatment we received is the reason I am taking time out of my day to write a negative review. My family and I were in town seeing local sites and decided to stop in for a glass of wine and appetizers. The person serving us at the counter begrudgingly answered some of the questions we had before informing us that we couldn’t sit inside because they had “some bad run ins with children.” We purchased a drink and two glasses of wine and were then told that we also couldn’t sit under the covered space outside either but we were welcomed to sit on the lawn. Mind you, it’s almost 90 degrees outside and the local gnats were hosting a family reunion in the yard. She did tell us we were allowed to come inside to cool down if we became “overheated.” Such hospitality! Once we finished up our glasses, I came back in to let them know how we felt about our treatment. I was intercepted by a women walking toward the counter asking if she could help me. When asked why it wasn’t made clear online or anywhere on the premises that children were not welcomed, she responded with, “Now honestly, it is a winery, why should I have to say that this is not a place for children?” Perhaps it is worth mentioning because almost every other winery I have visited openly welcomes families and pets, and the ones that are not kid friendly, make it known up front. Instead of attempting any customer service repair, she proceeded to continue her one sided rant until I finally stopped her and left. The downfall of this place will not be the setting or product, it will be the shortsighted, vitriolic management and...

Good wine, very rude staff.. I visited this winery on Memorial Day with three other guests. The wine is very good however the friendliness of the staff leaves something to be desired. We arrived early and purchased appx &70 worth of wine. We were seated outside enjoying the day when we were approached by a server who politely informed us that the live free music event was about to begin and that we would have to vacate our seats without having tickets at a specific time. We informed him that we would be leavng shortly. Apx 5 minutes later a female employee approached us rudely stating that we would have to leave at 2pm due to the live music. I then informed her that we had 15 minutes and that we would be leaving shortly. The woman then proceeded to angrily glare at me. My wife and I are Shenandoah Co residents and she recently paid for a membership at this vineyard. I am all about supporting local businesses during these hard times however I will not be supporting this place anymore. Needless to say we were also overcharged for our purchase. My wife returned to the front door of the business to have the order corrected and the same woman greeted Herat the door asking what she needed. There are so many great vineyards in Shenandoah Co, I’ll spend my...

My wife and I enjoy exploring the Shenandoah Valley. I happened across the Muse Vineyards exploring Google Maps. We were going to be in the area for a Saturday picnic with friends but had arrived a day earlier to explore the area. We decided to check out Muse Vineyards since it was close to Woodstock, where we were staying. The road to getting there might be discerning, but it's worth the investment. As we drove, we found the main tasting room as we passed by the rows of neatly timed vines. Upon entering the tasting room, friendly and helpful staff greeted us. We thought about the flight, but maybe next time. My wife had a glass of the Vin Gris de Gamay and I had a glass of the Pichet. Well, I did get a second glass later. Both wines were terrific. We took our glasses and the sunset menu to the second-floor deck and were blessed with a great view of the western ridge of the Fort Valley and the vineyard as it spread out over the land. Muse wines menu was simple. My wife had the Hummus Parfait, and I had the Chicken Gyro. As we sat enjoying the view, the food, and the wine, the Muse slowly filled up with others enjoying themselves. I highly recommend putting this on your list if you are...

Our family created unforgettable memories while staying at the charming farmhouse on the Muse Vineyard property. I purchased these accommodations through a charity auction without knowing exactly what to expect, but our experience exceeded every expectation. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a thoughtful gesture—a bottle of wine and a lovely note from the owner, Sally. Our first evening was highlighted by a beautiful sunset dinner at the vineyard. The meal was delicious and thoughtfully prepared to suit all ages, including our young grandchildren. Throughout our stay, we had a wonderful time exploring the vineyards, hiking the scenic trails, and crossing the charming walking bridge over the Shenandoah River. The area is stunning, and learning about the vineyard and its surroundings was a delight for our whole family. I would highly recommend a visit to Muse Vineyard and especially a stay at their farmhouse. The staff at the vineyard were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and truly made our visit special. It’s the perfect destination for both wine lovers and families alike!

Absolutely loved this place!! The wine was amazing, and the atmosphere was beautiful! My husband and I were visiting the area and wanted to check out wineries. We went to three and muse was our favorite! The wine tower was is very creative plus they allow you to taste the wines to make sure you like them before getting the tower. They had good food there, and the view is beautiful. Everytime we travel we try to go to local wineries and I can honestly say this place has one of the best service we’ve ever experienced at a winery. We had Tony and he made the experience so much more enjoyable and personal. My husband was exhausted from the drive there and ordered an espresso and right after ordering it Tony went straight into the kitchen and made it for him! We sat on the upstairs portion and Tony made the effort to come upstairs and check on us and even took the time to get pictures of my husband and I!! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and look forward to coming back when we are in the area again.
