Noonday Park — Attraction in Woodstock

The park itself is beautiful, the water was pretty clean inspire of all of the garbage and debris in it. Set up a hammock by the picnic table and fished all morning. My daughter had been in the hospital and we were just taking a break from it. I didn't catch anything but saw some baby bass. Very interesting minerals and rocks in the landscape. The park ranger came by after we had been eyed all day to make sure we weren't living there. Kind of put a damper on the day. They watched us leave as well. Bothered me quite a bit obviously there must be a problem with that there. Came back a few weeks later with my little to study minerals did the same thing. They drove by several times again. This is a nice park tucked away where you wouldn't expect so much green space to exist. There are two playgrounds, one is where Google maps puts the balloon for Noonday Creek Park. The second is about 0.6 mile walk from the first. Both seem to be new, with wood chips ground surface and a roll in enterance. I walked from the first to the second and back, and the walking surface varies. In some areas it's paved, others it's gravel/sand. Great for walking, not terribly stroller friendly, but we managed fine. The bathrooms were fine. Unlocked, stocked, and generally clean. Honestly I'm usually not even at the park, my phone just thinks I'm always there because of the proximity of my house to the park. Honestly though, it's not a bad park, I greatly appreciate the human trafficking hotline being added to the bathrooms, but I really miss the old playgrounds that I grew up with. The bmx track is dope, the soccer fields are pretty active and decent quality given the side of town it's on. I'd highly recommend getting lost in the woods, it's pretty easy to find your way out, tons of cool spots to hang out.
