Wonderful museum and cultural center! The exhibits are fascinating, beautifully displayed, and meticulously interpreted. I was pleased to see a kiosk acknowledging Euro-Americans’ treatment of Indigenous peoples and would like to see this topic expanded upon. Super friendly and informative staff. The building is extremely clean and architecturally pleasing, a nice surprise as Worland is a small town. There was a performing arts summer camp class practicing while we were there and it was delightful to hear them in the background. The gift shop has a great selection of books on archaeology, geology, and local history. I bought several books....

For a small museum this was the cleanest most professional operation. Only 2 staff on duty for the whole place but it looked sharp. The cost was low and the displays were as beautiful and well done as if they transported them directly from the Field in Chicago. Several interactive exhibits and 3 topics covered. Dinosaur, the areas founding old west style and a advertising exhibit from WW2. Everything was great and well done thank you staff for such a good...

The Washakie Museum is a radical, quality museum, and it’s just fun to say the name!! Kids and adults will be well entertained equally. Science tips are easy to delve into here with some of the world’s best dino finds due to good old Wyo’s bony, arid Bighorn Basin. Many teams have come here because of the great pre-Pleistocene layers that are on the surface and easy to find. Relatedly, this is why Wyoming produces massive amounts of...

Very nice county museum with a paleontological section and a human history section plus special exhibits. See how they discovered allosaurus! Get yelled at by a virtual Irish cowboy! Read about the murder of some shepherds! $25 family rate covered 3 kids and 2 adults and we got a AAA discount. Small gift shop and clean restrooms but no food.
