A neat site near Fort Laramie. This site is about 2 miles from Fort Laramie. It is right off the road on you way to and from the fort. There is a small pullout with room for about 6 vehicles. It had and information board telling about the bridge. When we went there the leaves were yellow and it was a cool day out so it was very pretty. This is an iron bridge with wooden planking. You can walk out of the bridge and enjoy the sights and sounds from the middle of it. There is a 1.6 mile trail that leaves from the pullout. Worth the stop if you are going to Fort Laramie.

The bridge was great even with my fear of heights and water! Alot of fish in there and it has a trail you can walk a great place for kids to go and check out. Very scenic and just a wonderful place to be with nature and regroup. A definite must for any nature enthusiasts.

It fascinates me and my dog every time we walk over it. I love taking my time and visualizing it's entire past, as well with the river. In any season, I adore this place. The park below is very well maintained, clean, quiet and serene.

I love old bridges, the ingenuity of stringing pieces of steel beams and wooden planks together in supporting loads crossing above river flows. This old arch structural steel bridge was fabricated and installed by the army troops stationed at For Laramie to facilitate northward passage along the...

This is an interesting trip stop for a variety of reasons. Children have a huge area to run and play, find bugs, and see how people dressed, cooked, etc. 100 years ago. History buffs, nature lovers, runners/walkers, and those needing a good place to stop on the highway will all find this place...
