So full of soul, visiting was a delightful experience that I would highly recommend to anyone in the area. This charming museum is a true gem, offering a captivating glimpse into the rich history of this region.
One of the standout features of the museum is its exceptional collection of artifacts, which spans from the early days of settlement to the more recent past. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated and provide an immersive journey through time. From pioneer tools and homestead exhibits to displays showcasing the Native American heritage of the area, there's something here to fascinate history enthusiasts of all ages.
The knowledgeable and friendly staff at the Little Snake River Museum are a true asset. They're always eager to share stories and insights, making the visit even more engaging. It's evident that they have a deep passion for preserving and sharing the history of Savery and the surrounding area.
One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the beautifully restored buildings on the museum grounds, including an old schoolhouse and a blacksmith shop. The let my partner try on a 100 year old dress and frolic around while we explored. It added to the feeling of being transported back in time and provided a real sense of what life was like in this remote and rugged part of Wyoming.
The Little Snake River Museum is not just a place to learn about history; it's a place to connect with the past and gain a profound appreciation for the resilience and spirit of the people who settled this breathtaking region. Whether you're a history nerd, a curious traveler, or a local resident, a visit to this...

Read moreI saw Jim Baker's cabin in Cheyenne in the early 1960's. Dad took pictures. Time was telling on the structure. Very happy to see the wonderful restoration, as well as the well-documented artifacts and carefully collected research. The cabin is now where it belongs. Hope many visitors appreciate this historic building.
Very early in the late 19th & early 20th century, the people of Wyoming and Colorado realized the importance of Jim Baker. He was a living legend to his peers, who sought to preserve his legacy shortly after he died.
Well done, Wyoming! ♥ Would love to live...
