We randomly stumbled upon this cute little firefighter and airplane museum on our way to Big Horn Park—and we’re so glad we did. It’s a small local spot, but packed with charm and history.

The highlight was definitely the older gentleman who welcomed us. He shared so many interesting stories about the planes and the origins of the museum—truly the best guide we could’ve asked for. You can tell he really cares about the place and its history.

Admission was just $10 for the two of us, and we ended up donating a bit more. I believe you can get 4 tickets for $17 too, which is a great deal.

Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area and love local history...

Off the beaten path at a rest stop this small but interesting museum is a must!! We payed 22 dollars for our family of 8. We started on the inside of the building, looking at all the pictures and history involved with all the airplanes. There was even a flight control panel the kids could look at and move the switchs. On the outside they had all the planes, which were really fascinating to look at. A couple you could look into and each one had a plaque with information about the plane. You could even go inside of one of the bigger planes. The older gentleman at the desk was...

We loved all the oddball planes they had at this museum. We have Ellsworth AFB Air Museum, which is amazing! Greybull, WY has these awesome birds. Stop and check them out. It's only $5 per person with a discount on 4 or more I think believe. My only wish would be to be able to at least stick our heads inside the plane itself. But we still spent well over an hour. The "bone yard" would be pretty spectacular to even have just a closer...

We had a great talk with John, the Volunteer working at the Museum. He was so knowledgeable about the airplanes in the 'boneyard' and the deails about the Privateer, my husband's favorite plane, that his dad flew during WWII. They had an hour-long discussion that provided details we had previously no known. A great visit that we will repeat if we're back in Greybull.
