Oconaluftee Visitor Center Parking C — Attraction in Yellowhill Community

The view of the elk were amazing! The rules stated stay 50 yards away from the elk for our own safety but while we were walking on the nature trail they walked right up to us. We kept our distance and were able to see the mother and its children walk over to get a drink. It really was cool too see so close up and I never realized how big they were until we were so close. I really love this visitor center! Very organized with lots of farm animals like hogs, chickens and horses! Definitely recommend checking out before or after going through the Smoky Mountains! The staff is very informative...
