Lyon County Museum — Attraction in Yerington

Love this place, have since I was a kid. Worth the trip for local history. Cool train exhibit the kiddos love. History of anaconda mine and the copper belt rail road. Vintage blacksmith tool set and shop on display. Period correct schoolhouse exibit and original textbooks. Great local rock and mineral exibit. I called for an appointment for our Red Hat group. Our group showed up on the appointment date and time which was at 1:00pm on Thursday. We waited 20 minutes in the heat but no one showed up to open the museum. We were all prepared to make a donation so I don't understand this.
