We have been visiting Lester Rail Trail since my now 8 yo was 1. It has become a much loved family tradition. We go to every public ride that they do during the season. My whole family loves it. We have even been to private events here hosted by PTA and they are just as great. The volunteers are all so kind and helpful. You can tell they are passionate about what they do. The snacks they offer while you wait in line are very reasonably priced. It can get very busy, especially when the weather is nice but it is worth the wait. We love going for Halloween every year but you do need to get there early for that one as they had to cut off the line last year. We look forward to seeing everyone again this year.

Super fun for kids and adults alike! Rides are always free but donations are encouraged to help with upkeep. Parking is easy and the staff is always friendly. Only downsides are the porta potties and the small pavilion waiting area. Every time I go there is at least an hour wait which is usually in the hot sun or the rain depending on the time of year. Would just be nice if the entire waiting area was underneath a pavilion. So should you decide to go, which I highly recommend, dress accordingly and or wear sunscreen!

Maintained well, only three total road crossings, and the 2.9-mile distance is perfect for a long distance run/walk, plenty of parking is available at the main lot on Lester Rd and by Fenn Rd. Also, be careful crossing Fenn Rd as it's next to a busy intersection with an awkward turn

The train ride is adorable and an awesome family activity. The deducted stars are because staff was hit or miss. There were two staff members who were yelling (actual yelling) at visitors about taking pictures. Instead of requesting phones not be able and telling people pictures would be taken at the end, they chose to yell. In fact, one staff member told the train that the next person with a phone would have to walk the tracks. The same staff member glared intensely at guests, even young kids. Made it uncomfortable for a...
