I visited this cute little family run farm, in Medina Ohio, back in mid September. Weather was great during this time! I came with my boyfriend and his family. (2 teenagers, 1 child, 1 grandparent and 4 adults) This was a fun day for all ages!
There was a lot of walking, but nothing too much that grandma couldn’t handle!! Reservations were required prior to arrival and tickets were only $5 per person! You just can’t beat the price for this completely hands on experience! Plenty of photo opportunities, as well as, feeding and petting interactions!
There was an additional charge on bagged food to feed the animals, but depending on the time, I’d recommend not buying it towards the end of the day. All the animals were full when we arrived and had no interest in eating the food we bought.
There are a few different sections of the farm to travel through and overall we spent about an hour and a half to two hours here. They also have a little gift shop that you can visit when you’re finished!
*Something to keep in mind - SHOES!! I was wearing sandles and I must have forgotten I was going to a FARM. Wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirt, mud, or poop on.
**Also something to be cautious of - please be aware of your surroundings, especially when the alpacas are eating!! Grandma and the 5 year old weren’t watching where they were walking and stepped behind an alpaca while eating and it kicked them!! Everyone is fine, but remember, you are in THEIR area.
All in all, this whole experience was amazing! I will come every summer! You won’t be...
Read moreMajestic Meadows was an awesome experience! We ordered/reserved tickets online, which they do recommend to make it easier for check-in. It was not busy and we were able to get there, check in and go straight to exploring the animals in under 5 minutes. We went on their last day of the 2023 season (Sunday, December 31st). They shut down for a couple of months before reopening for the next season. It was pretty chilly, but we were able to see all the animals while being under covered shelter areas. They also had a couple of buildings that were completely enclosed and warm that housed the very cute capybaras, tortoises and marsupials. It was great to be able to go into some of the pens and animal areas to get up close and personal and they had someone available in the buildings to give us more information on the animals housed there.
You can buy small bags of animal grain at the check-in building to feed certain animals while exploring Majestic Meadows. The kids loved feeding the camels. They're HUGE and also very gentle. The animal pens are labeled very clearly for animals that should not be fed the grain or those they may be a bit less gentle while determining what are fingers and what is feed.
We had an exciting time and can not wait to go back when they open for their 2024 season. We'd love to see all the animals playing in the fields when it's a bit warmer and see the capybaras swim in their pond!
Thanks, Majestic Meadows, for having such an awesome, hands-on, family fun,...
Read moreI don't know where I saw something for Majestic Meadows, but I am so glad I did! The variety of animals is amazing. Most are very gentle. Mingling with the animals is a great de-stressor. We can't compliment the staff enough. Every single staff member we asked a question of had a knowledgeable answer and offered so much more information. They were friendly and it is obvious they all love their jobs. All of the animals had plenty of space. When they crowded into the barns due to the summer heat, they still had plenty of room. All of the areas were neat and clean. It is obvious the animals and grounds are very well taken care of. We actually met the owner, who was cleaning the goat barn. It is definitely a well run business when the owner is out there, working alongside the staff. We had a very nice chat with him, learning about the metal sculptures and the otters. It was such an amazing experience. We spent 1.5 hours and could have stayed another hour. And I didn't even get to shop in the boutique! We will definitely be returning to spend more time with the animals and to shop in...
