Lily pond-mill Creek Park-Youngstown Ohio Just a quick overview it’s better in person ! It has a nice trail around the pond! The pond is over acre in size and stocked with tons of turtles, frogs, and several types of fishes! Many harmless, dragonflies, and other wildlife as well! There are several trails around the circumference of the Lily Pond! The steep embankment is one of my favorites that leads off deeper into the woods at the end of the lily pond! A true oasis of life in the life cycle in general! A great educational purpose for children as well as adults! Or if you just wanna enjoy the scenery, this is another great attribute. That is also apart of Millcreek Park historical outlets! FREE...

Did a walk around for Mother's Day and it was a beautiful day. They have really changed things there since I was little. If you've grown up around Youngstown you've most likely been here. They used to have a lot of ducks but not as many. When I was a kid the chipmunks and squirrels would come up to you as you fed them bread. Now a days feeding wildlife is frowned upon and feeding animals here is not permitted. In any case though it just enough to walk through and enjoy the 100's of snapping turtles and painted turtles swimming in the pond. We saw some ones that were huge and even baby turtles. I love that they out out a dock walkway so you can look out further into the water. There were all kinds...

My Goodness Gracious. Mill creek park is one of my all time favorite places to connect with nature. More importantly Lily Pond is magical in the summer. The amount of turtles in the pond is inexplicable. I love it here. The “track” around the pond is fairly small but I will walk that loop for hours happily. There’s a small trail that leads off to one of the roads you can hike. The hill side drop offs on those trails are not really “littles” friendly. I even used to come here occasionally on my lunch breaks and eat in the lot. It’s just a relaxing place to be, and again the rest of mill creek park is just...

Check out that snapping turtle!! Located in Youngstown Ohio inside Mill Creek Park, The Lily Pond is a local favorite known for its big snappers, other species of turtles, beautiful koi and goldfish! It is a short trail and super easy- making it fun for the whole family! They also have multiple places with benches so you can sit and enjoy the wildlife, also taking in the beautiful views! Feeding the animals is prohibited: always remember to respect nature when visiting 🙂 #ohio #nature #turtles #koifish #fyp
