Know that you are required to have a fishing license or a day pass to hang out in this Shasta wildlife area. I went out during the middle of July, in 90 degree heat, so that's my fault. Seems like a cool place bit it's just super hot right now. A friend caught a pretty big bluegill off the fishing dock, there's a nice boat ramp. I think it would be fun to go out and fish in...
