Attending King of the Hammers in Johnson Valley, California, was an absolute thrill. Bringing my boyfriend's project vehicle, aptly nicknamed The Hyena, added a personal touch to the adventure. Hammertown is home to the king of the hammers a racing event held each year in this location. Lots of events in the span of 12 days so if are visiting for the first time and you live close by it may be worth getting the event pass so you can comeback. You can bring your pup as long as it is well behaved and needs to be on a leash all the time. You can camp but you need to pay extra during the event. HAMMERTOWN IS AMAZING! First time attending KOH and I loved it. There’s so much to do around there it’s never ending! Hammertown has everything that you could possibly think of from car parts to free monster energy drinks. There’s a great amount of amazing vendors there. There’s plenty of seating if you ever want to take a breather. There’s a nice short track there so you can spectate. There’s even large TV screens too so you can watch what’s going on live!
