I've visited city parks across Arizona, and every so often one comes across a park that seems...just...off. First of all, almost no people can ever be found there, except for Yuma Parks Dept. The playground must have come from the same manufacturer as Play at Hance. It's ultra new and pristine, with native American casino games for kids all throughout, like magic guessing and match 3. The ramadas have huge stone tables, which is unusual as well. The thing that threw me the most wasn't the eerie emptiness, or even the super creepy paintings of children on the restroom, but a supernatural sensation that something was WRONG there. Read moreThis park is close to my home. I can walk to it. I get off work at 5pm but if I want to enjoy the park I have to go to it early in the day. I don't usually have my grandbabies visiting until after dinner. There are no lights and the park is scary dark after sunset. So I can never take them to the park to play for a bit after dinner.
