Upper Hillsborough Wildlife Management Area — Attraction in Zephyrhills

It amazes me what our tax dollars get spent on and what they do NOT get spent on... Alas, our state parks seem to be just an afterthought, when they should be a priority. While our children have their noses stuck to their smartphones, they should be out exploring, enjoying what Mother Nature shares with us... But, as a parent would I want my kids to see the disrepair that some of our parks are in... NOT! Maybe the lack of care has to do with this being the off-season, though not a good excuse.... Or, if it's this trashy in the off-season, it's scary to think what it may look like during the season... Chuck Hatcher, you have your work cut...

Excellent place to enjoy nature riding your bike. Entering from the Chancey rd entrance, go straight till you find the vehicle service road, make a right and keep going south. Take your second or third right off the service road and follow the trail till get to the hills. river. It is a tiny stream ( most of the time) that you can cross ( the left size is not deep) and then just follow the trail. If you can’t cross the River then you will miss the best of the park. Great place to hunt with the exception of the crazy people walking the trails they have during hunting season. It's an accidental shooting waiting to happen.
