⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Landmark in Uruguayan Winemaking – Unforgettable Sparkling Excellence

Our visit to Bodega Santa Rosa was an extraordinary experience that exceeded all expectations. This historic winery, with more than 125 years of uninterrupted tradition, is a true jewel in Uruguay’s wine landscape. From the very first moment, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism by Alejandra, who led us on an exceptional tour filled with passion, knowledge, and a deep respect for the winery’s legacy.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the tasting of the Fond de Cave natural sparkling wines. Crafted using the Méthode Champenoise, these sparkling wines are a testament to the winery’s commitment to excellence and tradition. Elegant, refined, and with remarkable complexity, the Fond de Cave line stands proudly among the finest sparkling wines we’ve ever tasted — not just in Uruguay, but internationally.

Walking through the vast underground cellar — one of the largest in South America — felt like stepping into a sacred space where time, patience, and craftsmanship converge. Each bottle resting there holds the story of generations dedicated to the art of winemaking.

If you’re a lover of sparkling wines or a wine traveler looking for authenticity, history, and world-class quality, Bodega Santa Rosa is an essential destination. A heartfelt thank you to Alejandra and the entire team for an...

We had a wonderful experience visiting this charming vineyard near Montevideo. The atmosphere was homely and genuine, offering a refreshing alternative to overly touristy spots. Our guide, Alejandra, was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable, providing fascinating insights into the winemaking process as we explored the caves and observed every stage of production.

The highlight was sampling seven diverse wines, each showcasing unique flavors and grape varieties. Paired with snacks, we enjoyed these in a beautifully atmospheric setting within the cellars—a truly memorable and intimate experience.

Easily accessible by public transport (bus 130 from central Montevideo), the vineyard is perfect for a reasonable and rewarding day trip for visitors. Highly...

À WINE ENTHUSIAST’S THRILLING VISIT WITH EXCELLENT LUNCHEON AT A HISTORIC WINERY in Uruguay😎😎😎😎😎

The visit is superb, guided by a sommelier who also knows the history of the place.👏👏👏

LUNCH IS THE BEST TO SAVOR THE BEST VINTAGES from the winery…including their most exclusive wines….WOW…

The lunch is 3-course meal with multiple pairing: Champenoise, white and reds.

THE ENTRECÔTE IS PARTICULARLY OUTSTANDING… perfect mid-rare and almost melts as one masticates… pairs very well with 3 reds from their...
