Modari Khan mausoleum is a place of great interest. Constructed in 1825 the name translate to "Mother of Khan" from Tajik (persian). The mausoleum was destined to the mother of Umar Khan (1810-1822) who ruled the Kokand Khanate. The mausoleum was comissioned by Umar Khan's wife : Nodira (1792 - 1842), to honor her mother in law. She was a prominent figure of Uzbek poetry and her work extended beyond the cultural social sphere of Kokand. She is also buried within the mausoleum. "In the garden of life, I am a wilting flower, longing for the dew of your gaze" The structure of the mausoleum includes a portal-domed design with small faceted minarets, interior vault adorned with a ribbled helix pattern made of ganch wich is a pre-Islamic traditions native to the Fergana valley. The exterior has a facade displaying intricate tile work and geometrical patterns

🇬🇧 English

The Modarikhon Mausoleum, built in 1825 in Kokand, is one of the most elegant architectural monuments of the Kokand Khanate. It was erected in memory of Umar Khan’s mother, Modarikhon, and represents the high artistic taste of the XIX century. The mausoleum is decorated with turquoise and blue glazed tiles, Quranic inscriptions, and traditional floral patterns. Today it stands not only as a sacred place of reverence but also as an essential stop for travelers exploring Kokand’s rich history alongside Khudoyar Khan’s Palace and other landmarks.

Modarixon maqbarasi, 1825-yilda Qo‘qonda qurilgan bo‘lib, Qo‘qon xonligining eng nafis me’moriy yodgorliklaridan biridir. U Umarxonning onasi Modarixon xotirasiga bag‘ishlab bunyod etilgan va XIX asrning yuksak san’at didini aks ettiradi. Maqbara ko‘k-yashil koshinlar, Qur’on oyatlari va an’anaviy naqshlar bilan bezatilgan. Bugungi kunda u nafaqat ziyoratgoh, balki Qo‘qon tarixini o‘rganayotgan sayyohlar uchun, Xudoyorxon o‘rdasi va boshqa obidalar qatorida, muhim manzil hisoblanadi.
