Ugom-Chotkal State Nature Park is a national park located in the mountainous regions of Bostonliq, Parkent and Ohangaron districts of Tashkent region. It was established in 1990. The total area is 574.6 thousand hectares, including 56.4 thousand hectares covered with forests; 64,679 ha of juniper groves, 139 ha of chestnut groves, 565 ha of maple groves, 1,670 ha of almond groves, 985 ha of white birch groves, 1,424 ha of walnut groves, 1,451 ha of wild oak groves, 2,056 ha of hawthorn groves. In general, more than 70 trees and about 80 types of shrubs grow in the national park. There are more than 1000 types of plants. Forests are mainly on the northern and eastern slopes. Really beautiful day with drive from Tashkent into the snow covered mountains of Ugam-Chatkal National Park which is really a pristine wilderness area. Not that far from Tashkent it lies in northeastern Uzbekistan along the border with Kazakhstan. It was formally established in 1992 and includes forests and mountains. We loved our few hours there.

Really beautiful day with drive from Tashkent into the snow covered mountains of Ugam-Chatkal National Park which is really a pristine wilderness area. Not that far from Tashkent it lies in northeastern Uzbekistan along the border with Kazakhstan. It was formally established in 1992 and includes forests and mountains. We loved our few hours there.
