This is a large park, over 600 acres and has miles of wooded hiking trails as well as equestrian trails. Shelters, grills, volleyball courts are first come first serve. Ample room to throw frisbee, baseball, etc. Lots of scenic views and 7 mile creek is quite pretty and relaxing as well as a natural spring fed trout stream with angling opportunities. Lots of room, shelters, scenic views, trails and a pretty trout stream makes this park certainly deserving of 4 stars. No entry fee required.

Beautiful park. Trails for walking or horse riding. Lots of room to have a cook out with your friends and family. If you like hiking or just a simple walk, you will like the trails and the overall scenery. The trails not simply flat, there is change in the elevation. Seven Mile Creek runs through the park; It is normally a highlight as one gets to hear the rushing water. On this visit, the creek was fairly dry. Great place I would go back.

One of my absolute favorites in the Mankato area. There are 10 different trails to walk of varying difficulty so depending on how you're feeling, you can pick an easier or more difficult one. Tons of different wildlife to see, and ample fishing along the creek during the wetter seasons. If you've never been, I'd HIGHLY recommend checking it out at any time of the year, but especially in the fall as the trees change color.

Nature at its finest! We spent around 3 hours walking the trails and even though some were very steep (the map shows what trails are what) it was worth the effort. What a view! Spring flowers, lush green forest floors and birds. Seen lots of dead land snail shells which is cool. Wonder what a live one looks like

Fun park to walk in all seasons. There are trails for different hiking skill levels. Great to place to bring the kids and pets. Trails are pretty well maintained. Plenty of scenery and interesting views available. Can be some nice trout fishing opportunities during the summer months.

Stopped in for a quick walk on a beautiful summer Saturday. Hiked trail #8 - the longest loop (about 2.5 miles RT). It was a nice, peaceful walk along a bubbling brook with birds singing, lush vegetation, and very few people once you got a half mile or so from the lot.
