Going to Ba Na Hills on our own, the ticket including buffet is 1,250,000 VND.

You should get a map before going up the mountain because it's extremely, extremely large at the top, and without a map, you won't be able to see all the areas and will just wander around in one place. There are 3 main areas. Area 1 is at the foot of the mountain, where the ticket office and the cable car entrance are located. From the entrance gate to the cable car access is quite far, requiring you to walk a considerable distance and climb many stairs. The architecture of this area is designed to resemble Hoi An and Hue. The elevator ride offers beautiful views of green hills and mountains. Area 2 is the lower mountaintop, and this area has 3 most prominent spots: the Golden Bridge, the flower gardens, and Linh Ung Pagoda. All these places are incredibly beautiful, the plants are very well cared for and lush green; just point your camera, and you'll get a beautiful picture. Especially the famous Golden Bridge, the symbol of Ba Na, you definitely have to take pictures here. There's also a wine cellar, but this area has an entrance fee. In Area 2, the most worthwhile place to visit is definitely the GOLDEN BRIDGE. Area 3 is the highest mountaintop; this is the largest area with the most attractions. It's like a large town up here. Restaurants, hotels, amusement parks, castles – everything is in this area. Typically, on the 3rd floor, you must see the pagoda peak. This place grows an extremely large number of very high-quality succulents, super large size, very healthy and beautiful. Right below the pagoda peak is the French Village. The French Village is ancient and beautiful, with a very distinctive stone wall surrounding it, you'll see it immediately. The stone walls are dotted with all kinds of flowers and leaves in countless colors. Taking photos in this area is guaranteed to be beautiful, just like a miniature Europe. The scenery is super romantic and magnificent. Next to the French Village is the restaurant and Sun Castle area (the one with Pop Mart). This area is the center of the center; all the artists' performances take place here. This area has huge castles, and the restaurants are close together, decorated with a lot of wood. The architecture of this area is similar to the French Village, but I think the French Village is more beautiful. Next to this area is the amusement park, which is probably the most boring and oldest area. The machines are old and worn out, it felt like wandering into a mechanical workshop on top of a mountain. The games and machines are a bit old, which I didn't like much. Next to the Moon Castle area is a place built similarly to the Louvre Museum in France, with a glass pyramid top. This area is also beautiful and unique. Important note: If you buy a buffet ticket, you will usually be assigned to eat at the Four Seasons Restaurant, which is located on the 3rd-4th basement levels in this area. It's very difficult to find; we wandered around for a long time before getting there, so you need to pay close attention. Next to this area is the last area, the Moon Castle. This area is incredibly beautiful, stunningly beautiful, with gardens and waterfalls stretching to form the entrance to the palace, it's breathtaking. However, the inside of the palace hasn't been fully developed and is still quite empty. You definitely have to go into the palace to watch the Eye of the Wind cinema, a novel and cute 5D movie experience, very worthwhile to spend time watching. In summary, in Area 3, I think the French Village and the Moon Castle are the two most worthwhile places to visit. The cable car operates continuously from morning until 5 pm. After 5 pm, there is only one cable car trip every hour, and after 5 pm, only one cable car line operates, so pay close attention to the signs and ask the staff to avoid missing the cable car. In my opinion, you should visit Ba Na once just to know about it because everything up there is built and artificial. Going once to visit and...

Ba Na Hills SunWorld is truly one of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Vietnam. Located about 45 minutes from Da Nang, Ba Na Hills offers a unique blend of natural beauty, cultural charm, and thrilling attractions, making it a perfect destination for families, adventure lovers, and anyone seeking a stunning escape.

The highlight of Ba Na Hills is undoubtedly the Golden Bridge, a breathtaking structure held up by two giant stone hands. The bridge’s design is awe-inspiring, and it provides a perfect spot for taking iconic photos with views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and forests. Walking across the Golden Bridge feels surreal—it’s as if you’re floating among the clouds, with mist rolling in from the hills. The bridge is also located at an altitude of over 1,400 meters, offering a cool breeze and incredible views, which made it a refreshing escape from the heat of the city below.

One of the most exciting parts of the experience was the Ba Na Hills Cable Car ride, which holds the world record for the longest non-stop cable car ride at over 5,800 meters. The cable car is an attraction in itself—gliding smoothly over lush green forests and dramatic mountains. The ride gave us spectacular views of the landscape below, and the ascent into the clouds was magical. At the top, the temperature was much cooler, and the mist added to the enchanting atmosphere.

Once we arrived at the top, there was so much to explore. The French Village was like stepping into a European fairy tale. With its cobblestone streets, charming architecture, and quaint buildings, it felt like we had been transported to a little piece of France in the middle of Vietnam. The village has a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants where you can relax and enjoy some delicious food or a warm drink. There are also plenty of photo opportunities in this area, with the European-style buildings providing a beautiful backdrop.

For those seeking more adventure, Fantasy Park is a must-visit. This giant indoor amusement park offers a wide range of rides and activities, including a roller coaster, 3D cinemas, and a variety of games and attractions suitable for all ages. Whether you’re into thrill rides or looking for family-friendly fun, there’s something for everyone in Fantasy Park. The park also has a giant indoor gaming area and an interactive space for kids to play, making it a great place to spend a few hours, especially for families with children.

Another great part of the visit was the Linh Ung Pagoda, a peaceful Buddhist site located at the summit. The massive Lady Buddha statue, standing at over 30 meters tall, is an awe-inspiring sight. The pagoda is a tranquil escape, providing a spiritual experience amidst the bustling attractions. We took some time to walk around, enjoy the serene atmosphere, and reflect on the beautiful surroundings.

The overall experience at Ba Na Hills was like a perfect blend of nature, culture, and entertainment. The combination of the lush mountains, the European-inspired village, the thrilling amusement park, and the cultural sites made it an unforgettable adventure. Whether you’re there for the incredible views, the fascinating architecture, or the fun attractions, Ba Na Hills offers something...

Let’s start with the price. At $60AUD per person (990,000VND for no meal or with the buffet for 1,250,000VND) you get the cable cart to the top or the second level (where the golden bridge is) if that is where you want to start.

The ride up is efficiently run and it’s easy to get around at the bottom to find the cable cart.

At the top, the only way to describe it is strange. The buildings look like some places in Europe, the only issue is most (80-90%) of stores and places were closed. You actually find it amusing when walking about the place as it is strangely accurate but far out of place for Vietnam.

We ate at the Brewery, which seemed to be the popular choice for the hundreds of tourists around (and one of the few open). The staff tried to create a Hophause vibe about it but it was a bit off. The place actually stinks of malt and those who don’t know what that is, would be very quick to confuse it with sewer. The waitress who initially served us actually got annoyed with us when we didn’t choose the combo and wanted to see the a la carte menu. The food was, although fresh, not very nice at all and very overpriced for the area (being at least 4 times the price elsewhere inclusive of tourist destinations like ancient town). The beer selection was down to one beer from their extensive menu and if you ordered above small you were given 6 small beers with one choice only. Most entertaining was the Europeans putting on a dance show mid meal and the keg lifting competition (where I now have some level of industrial deafness following the MC enthusiasm).

We found ourselves wandering about pretty aimlessly and even with the map it’s a bit off a challenge but you’ll work it out with key places on it.

The buildings were actually pretty accurate when it comes to how we think of European cities but again with the majority of stores being closed and no real cadence to the walk around, I would call this a site to see to just satisfy your curiosity to experience a weird gimmick of a theme park, lobbed on the top of a mountain in Vietnam as a mini Europe.

My wife described the whole experience like a westerner trying out an Asian desert, you’re really not quite sure what to expect but when you try it you’re left wondering whether you like it or not.

Personally I wouldn’t recommend here as a disjointed European mini city in the middle of Vietnam as it is an expensive gimmick that really just leaves you leaving somewhat confused if it was a theme park, interpretation of catching a taste of Europe or just plainly, something else.

For the price you could pay a local taxi driver for the day and you’ll have a better experience of Vietnam than wasting your money...
