Trohbu Botanic Garden — Attraction in Đăk Lăk Province

Quite a flop! To call this place an orchid sanctuary and botanical garden is simply misleading.

Not a single wild orchid, no informative signs pointing out particular plants or trees, and the supposed ancient stone gongs nowhere to be found (and even if they were, they would be poorly marked).

Instead, lots of toilet signs, vacant hut-bungalows, a large, empty restaurant-like building, an array of some sculptures, (instagram-) photogenic bridges and replicas of "ethnic dwellings" - it all seemed rather artificial.

And to top it all off, they expect you to pay for...

Since there were no other guests, there was silence in the evening and morning with a lot of nature sounds. The staff went out of its way to make us extra comfortable, serving us dinner in the room and installing a huge mosquito net. Upon arrival there was no one to receive us at the reception. I had so much memories with my close team friends when we ended highschool, we had fun together, played many activities, enjoyed beautiful teenage years, we have no regrets right now cuz we lived at our fullest!!! I mis those wonderful times! Trohbu had one of our best memories here! ❤️Hope that one day near I can visit this...
