On our way to Mang Den, we spotted this volcano while passing by a signboard on the sidewalk. It was rainy season, so the ground was super wet and muddy. We decided to grab a bite and some info from a small coffee shop at the foot of the volcano. The shop owner told us to take motorbikes up the hill because the trail was too muddy for walking or hiking. We rented 3 motorbikes for 50,000 VND each. The motorbikes took us as close to the top as they could go, and then we handed them over to a young boy around 10 years old.
This boy was super slim but incredibly agile. He was an enthusiastic and helpful guide who showed us the volcanic landscape. He was also a talented photographer, so he took lots of pictures of us and the volcano. There are actually 3 volcanoes in the area, and he showed us all of them. He told us that the lava flowed a long time ago and became magma that made the trees around the volcano lush.
We had a great time talking to the little boy and learning about the place and its history. He was a true gem and made our trip even more memorable. If you ever have the chance to visit the highlands, definitely make sure to check out the Chu Dang Ya Volcano....
Read moreI went here with a friend of mine on a moderately sunny day with great visibility. It was a perfect day to set foot on this volcanic ground. The volcanos themselves have been inactive for time immemorial, but if you ask the local maybe they'll give you a number or two. On the way up, one may choose to put their feet to the test by climbing up the rather muddy trail that could destroy white sneakers on a bad day, or one can employ the help of the locals who would gladly take you up there with their motorbike and diligence, for a small price of course. Once arrived at the first Opening, they'll let you be on your foot and if you so choose to press on with your journey upward, you have to be equiped with good enough shoes to be able to surmount the further grounds. It was worth it. I was greeted upon reaching the top with chilling wind, brightly lit ray of lights and scenic splendors from afar and below. On the top, we were there, seeing for ourselves what we couldn't have before. It was worth it, the whole arduous journey, the sore legs and if you are not careful - bruises, but they all are worth...
Read moreThis is a great place in nature to visit. We drove there on motorbikes and parked for 10k per motorbike. We got there in the afternoon and we heard it was a difficult walk and we were not sure if we would have time to walk up, so we hired the women there to drive us up the mountain. Previous reviews said it was 50k but now it is 75k. They were really nice and friendly. You can not drive your own bike up, unless maybe if you have an off road bike. It is a steep and difficult path. However, we would have been able to walk up, I dont think it is as difficult as others said, however it was dry and if it was raining it would be much harder. Also the sun is very strong here. You need good shoes to walk around the little muddy paths. They also have some drinks and fruit at the parking area. It is worth...
