This site is located approximately 33 km north of Ha Giang City (off QL4C Road) and is an attraction which very few loopers stop at. No doubt due to the fact it’s a few km off the main road, and getting to the entrance involves a hike up a cliff face. Additionally, the primary focus of most people on group led tour is getting to the designated stopping points. The cave is on the grounds of a local temple (pagoda) in a beautifully scenic location. On the way up there’s some great views of the surrounding landscape. The cave is well set up for safe sightseeing, with a cement walkway (which does a circuit through the cave) and some nice, colorful internal lighting. Great cave. It's at a temple. Coming from the main road, you will see another road with a fake Rocky arch with the cave name above it. Stay on this road until you see a sign on the right side that points to the temple. You will pay someone 30k at the temple, and they will turn the lights on for you. The exhausting part is getting to the cave. There is a cement pathway with steps going up and up and up. It took us about 20 minutes. Smooth path, but many steps to use a lot of energy.
Once you get to the cave entrance, the steps go down inside the cave and the air becomes quite cool and refreshing. It is well lit, but we used bright flashlights. It has walkways and handrails for most of the cave. It splits off into two sections you can explore, and the left side loops...
Read moreHard to review this - done in January and nobody was there, lights were off. The day I went was pouring rain so maybe they assumed nobody would bother coming?
Stairs up took me 20 minutes but I had a cold, could do it faster in good health.
I think it's worth doing because the detour off the Ha Giang loop is not much at all, but without the lights on I didn't go all the way into the...
