This parish is located conveniently in the tourist area on the main streets of Ha Noi. It's very clean and has plenty of room for parking and pews for parishioners to attend. Most of the people here are very nice, but there will be a few people who are very uptight and strict about dress codes. These uptight people are just regular prisoners. One particular female complained about our outfits not being appropriate for Mass. We were about to move up closer to the altar but she told us to sit in the back because my wife was wearing an outfit that had her shoulders exposed. It's just a regular outfit that you would normally see outside of Ha Noi. We dressed the same way for Mass in the US and I see many people dress the same way in Saigon. I believe this is just this one person or maybe this local district that may be a little too strict on the dress code. I understand that we should not wear short shorts or mini skirts or tank tops, but many female outfits have exposed shoulders, but we weren't exposing too much. I don't believe this is the fault of the parish or the pastor or priests. I just wanted to include this comment so that the pastor and clergyman could relay the message to all parishioners to avoid not offending tourists and visitors and deterring them from attending Mass. On the other hand, there was another female, Ms. Sơn, who was very welcoming. We had a very nice chat with her after mass ended. She gave us some tips and pointers about other places to visit in Hanoi and even asked to please visit this...

We googled for nature parks to visit in Hanoi and we stumbled upon Yen So Park. Was a bit far off our expectations after seeing the exciting pictures during event days. If you’re looking for a nature trail to just soak in some sun and green, this park is huge and you can take 2-3 hours to cover this place. We managed to catch a glimpse of a bright blue kingfisher but the place was pretty empty with little visitors. The play area for kids looked pretty run down with almost no one except the staff there. So if you’re bringing kids there on a weekday when there’s no special event, not sure if it’s the place to go. Would only recommend if you’re a nature lovers looking to get some nature in amidst all the local stores and city life. No much to do there except picture taking and strolling around. Tip: Bring a hat and your sunscreen if it’s a hot day.

Nice looking Catholic Church. The service I attended was in Vietnamese, and it was very well organised, and all attendees seemed very engaged. However, I was stopped by a group of older women who told me that if I wasn't a Catholic, I shouldn't be there. This made me feel very disappointed about the Catholic community in Hanoi. I have been to many holy Christian sites, including the Vatican city and Jerusalem. Not one time I was questioned and asked to leave for not being Christian. It is my understanding that all are welcome in the house of the Lord. I told them they shouldn't stop anyone from entering the Church. Unfortunately, older people in Hanoi have a lot of power, so they do not listen to someone younger than them. Having said that, the younger people seemed very friendly. The toilets are clean and free to use.
