We hired a taxi driver at a reasonable price to drive us to the Silver Waterfall and the Love Waterfall, about fifteen minutes from Sapa, and of course he would wait for us. First, for 70000 dong we entered the love waterfall reserve, a foggy morning created mysterious and beautiful sights, the road to this waterfall is lined with stairs, some with a railing, and lovely views. The waterfall itself is very high, at the bottom a heart-shaped object is designed and there you take pictures in the background of the waterfall, kitschy but nice. At the end, the taxi driver was waiting for us to take us to the silver waterfall, we bought a ticket at the entrance for 20,000 dong and we started a steep climb of about two hundred steps to the lower third of the waterfall, where there is a bridge that crosses the waterfall and allows a view angle up to its beginning at the top. This waterfall about 12-15km from Sapa town. We took Grab and the waterfall is right by the mountain roads.
Pools in this waterfall tended to be yellow, akin to rust. Not sure if this is due to the natural mineral content, or due to concreate and rebar being incorporated to stabilize the route of the river.
