Hon Khoi Salt Fields — Attraction in Phường Ninh Hải

I would say if you are down to go for a scooter ride out of town this is worth the stop. We unfortunately did not see anyone at work at the time, but the process was obvious enough to figure out. Found a large pile of salt and tried some. Went through a police checkpoint on the highway on the way there and luckily were not stopped so we took the long route back that did not go along the sea. It was so worth it. Got to see some beautiful countryside and a random very large temple that was one of the nicest I have seen yet. Don't make it just about the salt fields, go make your own little travel loop out...

We were there roughly midday, and there was nothing happening. The specific destination was also very difficult to pinpoint. Perhaps we should have rented a tour guide who knows the right time of day, Or to stop at a specific 'demonstration time', or only to visit during specific...

Af the moment we where there (15 January 11am) there was nothing to see. But near by the Doc Let beach around 16pm we saw some people busy with the salt...
