A tourist trap park built around a natural waterfall and controlled by the greedy Doi Dep corporation who are only interested in profits at the expense of the public (visitors and tourists). Poorly maintained and contains lots of dangerously slippery steps, walkways, and observation platforms...I slipped over three times. The entrance fee is definitely unjustifiable at 220k for an adult, which includes the tram ride both ways. However, you can pay 160k and just walk down by using the dangerous and slippery steps. On my visit, I used the steps, and about halfway down, there had been a rockslide blocking the path. I had to climb over a boulder and several rocks to continue onward. The entrance fee includes all the sites contained within the park, but they're just unassociated attractions or things to amuse/entertain children. The bonsai display garden is poor (you're better off visiting a pagoda, which has far superior examples), the caged birds section is terrible (borderline cruel), and the army display is pitiful and has no relevance. In an endeavour to add appeal, there are a few scattered animal statues that have been built but only seem to be there to fill in, or to avert your eyes away from the lack of garden maintenance. It all seems to be a business venture created for Doi Dep to lure in paying customers....essentially cashing in on a natural waterfall. So yes, the waterfall is good, and upon my visit, it was flowing strongly but no more impressive than the multitude of FREE waterfalls scattered throughout Vietnam that I have been privileged to see. Overall, I hated the experience mainly due to the exorbitant entrance fee just to see a waterfall. Everything else, Doi Dep have built or created there is just crass and solely motivated as a...
Read moreWe visited BoBla Waterfall after spotting it on Google Maps, and it turned out to be a nice stop. 🌿💦 The waterfall itself is tucked into the corner of a mountain, making for some great photo opportunities. 📸 However, the whole place is clearly designed for large crowds. Even though it wasn’t busy when we visited, you can tell it’s usually packed with tourists.
One thing we weren’t too excited about was the number of fake decorations—personally, I found them a bit too colorful and unnecessary. 🎨 But that’s just my opinion; Vietnam’s natural beauty is already stunning without the extras. 🇻🇳 That being said, the overall experience was enjoyable.
Parking was free, and the entrance fee was 90,000 VND per person. 💰 You can choose to walk down to the waterfall, but be prepared—it’s a long and steep path with uneven surfaces, which makes the way back up quite exhausting. 🥾 If you’d rather skip the hike, there’s a shuttle bus available to take you up and down. 🚌
There’s also a nice pool area where you can swim if you feel like cooling off, though we didn’t use it. 🏊♂️ Plus, there’s a kiosk with plenty of food and drinks, so no need to bring your own snacks. 🍜🥤 The site offers some creative photo opportunities, and overall, we enjoyed our visit.
If you’re in the area, it’s worth checking out—but just be aware that it’s a more...
Read moreBobla Waterfall is located in the mountains of Lâm Đồng province. The waterfall itself is quite small and unimpressive, surrounded by unfinished construction and overgrown vegetation. There's not much to see or do here, and the overall experience is rather dull.
Pros:
Low Fee price Peaceful and quiet surroundings
Cons:
Small and unimpressive waterfall Unfinished construction Overgrown vegetation Lack of amenities
Overall, I wouldn't recommend visiting Bobla Waterfall unless you're in the immediate area and have some extra time to kill. There are many other more impressive waterfalls in Lâm Đồng province that are...
