Wang Kelian View Point - Located at Mata Ayer Nature Reserve Forest, a part of the Perlis State Park, Kaki Bukit in Perlis Indera Kayangan, Malaysia. Adjacent to Satun Town Thailand, Wang Kelian is a gateway on the north Peninsula between the two countries Malaysia and Thailand. A typical hill with the height of 304 m/asl it's a popular destination among local or the outsider people to see the beauty of Perlis State. There's no fee entrance and accessible by multi vehicle besides walk/hike up to reach the view point. Some of facilities are available but not adequate... It's a nice place to see the sea of clouds, carpet cloud (stratus cloud) in the early morning, watch sunrise and sunset panoramic view with the soothing air and calmness atmosphere. From the view point you can see the magnificent scenery view of Timah Tasoh Lake, Bukit Chabang, the mainland of Thailand and the surrounding areas, a lush green tropical rainforest. Worth a visit, recommended.

A good place to watch the sunrise in Perlis. It only takes 300 meters from the free parking to the top of the mountain. You can enjoy the sunrise and sea of clouds, as well as the beautiful scenery of Perlis, including the famous Bukit Chabang, Timah Tasoh Dam, JPS Perlis, The mountains and forests of Taman Negeri Perlis and more. It is recommended to go up the mountain before dawn and wait for the sunrise. If you are lucky, you can see the sky full of stars. However, the wind in the early morning was very strong so remember to bring a jacket. The entrance fee is very cheap. Visitors can choose to trek up or pay for buggy service. There are rainbow observation decks, swings, direction signs, etc. for instagrammer photo. There are also food stalls selling a variety of food and drinks.

I seriously recommend this view point. Why? The view was stunning - love the background of the twin peak Bukit Chabang with the clear sky (w some clouds that gives extra effect). It does like a good painting to me. Come early, enjoy ur breakfast up there w hot coffee. We skipped that because we planned to have it elsewhere but regretted it because the place we went for bfast and coffee weren’t that good. We were like: we should have taken our bfast up there at the view point while enjoying the view and cold weather, just chillax altho for just a simple Nasi lemak bungkus and hot americano. Next time la ya.. good place for children to bring their elderly parents too coz there are buggy to go up at only RM3/pax, on top of RM2 entrance fee. Still cheap and berbaloi

Breath takingly beyouutiful. Come early as when the sun starting to show itself and gets higher it will get hot and hotter. Very serene and cooling in the morning... the low clouds and foggy scene is just pure calmness... weekdays also got many people that arrive early but dont worry.. everybody got space and chance to take pictures. One thing that really bothers me though... the blue tents gerai with stuffs all over the place... why cant they set up their businesses at the bottom of the lookout? Why must up there?. Such a visual pollution. You can do business but do you really need to shove your businesses to the crowd at a place where people just want to experience and enjoy 'solitude' and peace up there?...

Some of the best sunrises I have ever seen! Been going there since I was a kid and still amazes me till now. Easy drive up and parking is ample. Get there early Morning! Week days are recommended Fun facts. The rock you are standing on is the longest range of Limestone in Peninsula malaysia and one of the oldest ! 400+ million years old. It's called the Nakawan Range and Part of the Setul Formation of lime stone. A formation of limestone that stretches from Southern Thailand to Langkawi. The lake in the distance is Tasik Timah Tasoh. The little hills you see near the lake are part of the chuping formation of limestone. 200+ Mya. PERLIS is beautiful state and this view really sums it all up .

Not recommended. This was extremely underwhelming. Not worth the effort and drive there. Just go to Aiyerweng in Betong, Yala in Thailand. Now that is truly breathtaking, not Wang Kelian. Unless you're disabled in some way that inhibits walking, just walk up to the top instead of paying for the ride. It's barely even a walk and takes less than 5 minutes. There are several vendors at the top but they only started arriving after 7am to open shop. If you're there for the sunrise, don't expect breakfast there as you'll be leaving by the time these sellers are ready to sell anything.
