My wife and I did the canopy tour with Crater Lake Zipline, and it absolutely blew us away. We soared through and above lush tree canopies, with breathtaking views of the Oregon wetlands and a fantastic view of the snow-crested Mt. McLoughlin. This was our first time using a hand-brake system. While my wife and I were initially a bit nervous, I ended up loving it—it gave us so much more control over our speed. After a couple of lines, it felt completely natural, and I could fully take in the incredible scenery. One of the standout features of this tour was the platforms themselves. Unlike other zipline courses we’ve done, these platforms are built high up in the trees, immersing you in the heart of the canopy. They were impressively stable, and it was an unforgettable experience to pause at those heights and soak in the beauty of the forest from that elevated perspective. The tour itself was well-paced, and our guides, Ethan and Avery, were phenomenal. From the moment we geared up and tore up the mountain in a UTV with our group, they kept the energy high and the mood light, all while clearly prioritizing our safety. Their presence helped everyone in our group feel comfortable and enjoy every moment. If there’s one area with room for improvement, it’s the photo package. We purchased it to help capture the memories, but the results left us wanting more. The guides use their phones to take pictures throughout the tour, and another staff member follows along on the ground level with a DSLR camera. Understandably, the guides focused on safety and fun, so their phone photos were limited and casual. As for the DSLR shots, only a few turned out well, and none quite captured the stunning views we were experiencing from the treetops. The experience itself—and especially the guides—deserve a full 5 stars. The photo package, however, is an area with room for improvement, and I hope it receives more attention in the future. Overall, if I could give 4.9 stars, I would. That said, Crater Lake Zipline was hands down one of the biggest highlights of our Southern Oregon trip. If you’re anywhere near the area—or even a couple of hours away, like we were—this is an experience you don’t want to miss! Helpful Tips: Arrive a little early and be sure to empty your pockets—anything loose can fall during the tour. I used a money belt to keep my phone and wallet secure. If you wear glasses or sunglasses, bring a strap or plan to buy one on-site ($8–$10). Also, there are no water stations along the course, so be sure to...

I have very mixed feelings about this place. I ended up having fun on the zip line tour but it was a disaster before we got to that point it was a nightmare. We booked a 9:30 am zip line time as we drive into the crater lake area. I thought it was in the crater lake area. It is not. It is an hour south. I arrived at my campsite in diamond lake (half hour north of crater lake) around midnight and looked up the address and my jaw dropped when the map said 1 hour and 45 min. Plus we have a little dog that could not stay in that campground for that long. So we would need to bring our camper with us and book our second night south of crater lake. I emailed and asked if we could delay our start time to afternoon so we could have time to move. I got a response at 7:40am saying we had to arrive at 9:00, 30 min early and no changes within 72 hours. Well first I made my reservation within 72 hours and also the name is misleading. It is not in crater lake. Also I looked at their website and they still had availability for my fam of 5 at 1 and 3. So they could have moved us. I begged and pleaded. Even if we just got in the truck and drive we would be late. They refused to budge and I would lose over $400. So I cried and screamed at my kids to get in the truck while my husband hitched the rv and stabilizers. It was chaos. We would arrive at 9:50, which would be too late. An employee called and said they would accept us at 10. She was trying to be nice I guess but the chipper condescending tone was too much. We finally arrived and got on the tour. Now the guides were great and we all had a blast. But then we spent the rest of the day trying to find another rv spot and missed on going to the actual crater lake park. I am disappointed that it is called crater lake zip, I thought it was in crater lake or I’d at least have views of crater lake. I could have zip lined anywhere, I would have preferred to see actual...

My friend and I decided to pivot and do some kayaking with these guys when Crater Lake was mostly shutdown due to snow during our trip in June. We spoke to Jennifer about making last minute reservations for a moonlight kayak tour and she was able to get us signed up for a tour the same day, gave us all the info we needed over the phone and we just showed up a couple hours later! Hutch and Darren were our tour guides for the kayaking. Both were super friendly and helpful, gave the group some facts about the area, but mostly just allowed us the time to enjoy the scenery, each others company and relax in the river. My friend asked Darren if he knew anything about openings for a Zipline tour we could squeeze in the next day, he made a couple calls and got us signed up for their earliest canopy tour easy! The ziplining was my personal fav even as a beginner! They make sure everyone knows the basics before you go on the big lines. Ethan and Averie were the guides that came with our group of about 8 people. Both of them were really easy going and joked with everyone the whole time! Even if you wanted to bring some younger kids, I think they’d have a great time since it was a really kid friendly experience. If people were nervous they talked them through it and gave people pointers as we moved along the course. The views were absolutely STUNNING as well! I think we got lucky that they had some flexibility to fit us in since it wasn’t quite busy season yet, so I would definitely try to sign up in advance if this is something you know you want to do. By the end of our time, we realized this was family owned and operated business and it really shows in the way they work with each other and treat their customers. I would absolutely go back if I had the chance!...
