This place seems like heaven when you visit it at the right time.. The best time to visit here is rainy season! Away from the city traffic (while driving from Bnglre), you get to drive on silent tracks where you will see peahens flying across the roads. I visited this place twice and luckily both the times it rained and the view was amazing. The entire reservoir has these trees submerged in it with a little of each tree still afloat. I could see ducks swimming in the water and a few birds flying over the waters. With rains happening, the entire water body came to a steady calmness which was really soothing. Unfortunately, I'm not able to add the videos here that I captured at Kanva.

We basically followed the Google maps , so it is like around 60 km from HSR Layout. Road is good the last few meter stretch is a little off road. So basically when we reached there as per google maps. We landed to a private property as per a local person and that person is charging around 200 per person just to visit that place and 300 per person if you want to do boating. The destination is reachable through bike only , I don’t see any other way for cars there. You can spend half an hour which is enough for the place and you can visit thimmappana betta which is around 8 km to complete your ride. Ps- reviews are according to location we reached as per google map.

A nice reservoir that offers a pretty decent scenery. Due to recent highway construction it is little confusing to reach the spot at the time of this review. But all in all one can figure out with maps to reach the place. Takes approximately an hour and half to reach this place from kengeri. The roads are good enough to reach the spot. It will be a very good short ride for bikers. It's got a decent sized dam and a pathway along the bank of the dam. The safety is not exactly there but it is upto the traveler to be safe. We can sit by and relax for sometime. We can plan to visit this place along with other places around ramanagara.

If you are looking for a reservoir with full of water and water flowing from the gates then this is not the place. It's just a lake where u can spend 30 mins watching sunset. The main entrance was closed where people can go over the lake bund or the dam gates to get a nice view. No shops around, just one tea stall is available. After taking right turn from Mysore road just before the kengal hanuman temple, Google will suggest you to take immediate right turn for the lake. PLEASE don't take the right. Drive straight for about 1 km and ask locals for the direction.

Kanva Reservoir is one of the very few accessible water bodies around Bengaluru that is calm and serene. There's no direct route to the water body as such, you'll need to find some off-road mud path to the water edge. Similar to what's seen in accessible water bodies, there's plastics and trash everywhere. Why there is no common sense in people nowadays, I don't know. Anyways, just visit this place for the tranquil atmosphere, nice village roads that take you behind a forest, and please don't trash the place.
