Fantastic place! Close to 1/3 of all plant life on Socotra is apparently endemic, and the "Dragon Blood tree" arguably the most famous one. The grown trees age between 6-900 years and males you feel quite insignificant walking amongst them. What a place..

This is the place to see Dragon’s Blood Trees. We camp here one night and hence have the opportunity to take sunset, star trails and sunrise photos with the Dragon’s Blood Trees. This is one of the main reasons we visited Socotra Island :)

Si on peut voir des Dragon Blood Tree un peu partout sur l’île, la forêt de Firmin est quand même le meilleur endroit pour en faire des photos. Le plateau est une autre planète, mais la route est vraiment effroyable pour y arriver. Même en 4X4 et même bien accompagné, c’est difficile, mais ça fait partie du charme du lieu !
