People there are nice but facilities are lacking. Restroom is strategically located at the center but not well maintained when I visited there. No running AC inside the museum so you will not stay long to read everything, as most of the displays are to be read. It would be nice if tour guides are present to make the visit more meaningful and informative. We were just guided by the local photographer who provided minimal and faulty info and he offered as photographer using our cp but then used his camera to shoot and sell our photos printed in A4 size photopaper at php150. The place is more like a local source of income. And oh, since it is a nice park, it would be better if we could camp inside the place😁.

We were headed on a land trip back home, when we made the visit in this park. This place is really part of the itinerary. It's so fascinating to be able to be in the a place which we could only read this on history books during grade school. It was a great opportunity being able to visit the shrine. We had fun touring around, seeing the huts of Rizal, his Casa Residencia, the century old tree, etc. for free, no charges. It was good that it has been preserved and is taken care of so that our generation and young ones alike could visit and will have a chance to experience history in this part of the country. Must visit if you happen to be in Dapitan!

#SirangLente #AimFor81 #PinasMuna #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines - Rizal Shrine in Dapitan City was the place where Jose P. Rizal, Philippine National Hero, was exiled by the Spaniards in 1892. It was also the place where he worked as a doctor, sculptor, farmer, teach and many other activities. Rizal purchased this land after winning a lottery in 1892. Later, he together with his mother, sisters and relatives transferred here from Calamba, Laguna. However, on January 15, 1897, all of his property was confiscated by the Spanish authorities. Converted this property into a park in memory of Rizal and was declared as the National Rizal Park in 1940.

A wonderful and rich experience, in reference of history of the hero José Rizal. I learn a lot about this chapter of the Philippines. The park is so beautiful you walk around it in a well care and maintained park. The native houses from Dr Rizal. You discover how was his life in exile. He was dedicating that period to teach and to perform eyes operations. The park present majesteous trees some being over a century old. I have to congratulate the authorities of Dapitan for making the place so splendid and offer it free access. As a Swiss citizen I am impressed by the tribute paid to a national hero by Flippinos. Bravo

It has been my dream to someday visit Rizal's Shrine in Dapitan and now my dream is fulfilled. The place is grand! There's no entrance fee but freelance photographers will take your photo and sell the printout for P50 each. As you walk around, you get to feel how simple Rizal's life was then and it gave me a sense of feeling that being exiled here wasn't such a bad idea. He was able to accomplish a lot of things from performing surgeries, building a dam, farming, fishing, teaching, and more. Indeed, it was a wonderful experience for me to immerse myself for a moment into our national hero's life.

We had a wonderful time exploring this place of our National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal Museum…you can see lots of historical landmarks that you can read on based on his story… This has been kept in honor of his bravery to save us from being conquered, which remain forever in our hearts and in history that will be taught in generations to come. As we actually have subject and learn about his story how he manage everything, travel the world asked for help the reason why we’re being freed! But those belongs to the past but yet, forever grateful for him of his courage to save us!🇵🇭
