IMPORTANT: Cheetah Walking itself is not happening as of July 2025. It is a Cheetah Interaction where you can pet and take pictures with the cheetah. [They are very transparent about this and told me on the phone, at the reception desk, and walking to the interaction itself]
The Cheetah Interaction itself is 950 Zambian Kwacha as of July 2025.
I went to the Chaminuka Cheetah Interaction on a Monday morning.
There are two cheetahs currently. You get to interact with one of them. For this interaction you walk from the reception to the enclosure where the cheetahs are held. The cheetah is held on a leash by one of the staff. Three staff members accompanied me and one of them was very enthusiastic about taking my picture and took around 50 pictures.
Within reason (told by the staff), you can get as close to the cheetah as you wish. You can stand behind it, sit behind it, lay behind it, rest your head on its head, rest your head on its torso, hold its tail, hold its leash, and much more. All of these things are within whatever staff allow. They instruct you on how to best approach the cheetah for a safe experience.
The property itself is beautiful and houses a pool, restaurant, accommodations, gift shop, and many more interactions such as with elephants and the game drive. It’s best to consult the website or call them by phone for the best up to date information about pricing and what is available. What was told to me on the phone was accurate to how it took place when I went.
The interaction itself was less than a half hour and I was the only one doing it at the time. I highly recommend going early (10am being their earliest time) if you want to be there with less people. The staff was willing to be there as long as I wanted. You truly get to tailor your own experience to your own satisfaction.
I would highly recommend a visit if any of the interactions interest you. Prices for the Cheetah Experience are must cheaper than the other big cat experiences offered at other...

I spend around 30 minutes with them, clicked many pictures and they are not at all shy, they actually give a pose to a camera. Before that, I got a chance to see African elephant face to face and even feed them...

Perfect for a day outing, very peaceful place and lush green surroundings. Managed to get a slot for Cheetah walk, which was otherwise fully booked and they were turning...
