Exceeded expectations for such a recently opened park accessible from Lusaka (if you don't go there expecting to see lions, leopards or rhinos...) Ideal to go with the kids, but also for anyone looking for stuff to do/go easily within the capital, for a half-day program. For costs (as of January 2023): 10ZMW per car, paid at park entrance 30ZMW per person (intl resident) for entrance fees 600ZMW for 3pax (500ZMW for 2pax) safari tour on their safari car, unsure if there's a local price (1h+ tour with guide, driver and rain coats provided) 100ZMW per resident pax (15USD tourist / 50ZMW for locals) to get to the Wildlife Discovery Centre area (FCC8+4Q Lusaka) for the Elephant feeding @11h45AM. Worth it!!! Make sure to arrive by 11h30am so you can have a short guided tour around the Centre (from park entrance to the centre is only 1.5km/<5 min car ride). The safari car tour is not mandatory, you can go on your own, but if it's raining and your car is a sedan-type, it might have some trouble in some areas, otherwise you should be able to drive by yourself. Also, the good thing is that they know where the animals show up, so we were able to see zebras, impalas and giraffes! As far as we heard, there are no more rhinos in the park due to poachers... :( The picnic area has limited covered huts (2, as far as I saw) with barbecue grill (byo food/charcoal/stuff). Don't miss the viewpoint platform by climbing the stairs just to the left end of the picnic area! There's a +- 9m structure you can climb with a great 360 view! It shakes a bit, and those with a fear of heights might not feel very confident for climbing, but as far as I tested, 5 adults were able to stand without it falling ;)

Took a morning drive to the park, sadly didn't open at 6am as per their signage but returned later and got access. Gaining access via the Main LSMFEZ gate will require a K10 toll charge and for the park adults pay K30 and children pay K15. The road to the National Park is all tarred, making it great for even cyclists to ride all the way to the Park, the inner roads in the park are gravel, not bad I used a Sedan and made it fine save for a few roads that are in bad shape that you need to avoid (guidance can be sought at entry). The Elephant Nursery moved into the National Park and thats an extra activity you can get into, they have their own fee structure and timings for feeding the Elephants too if you want to enjoy that experience. The picnic area is nowhere near as nice as I would hope, in fact its just a few shelters and some chairs, dirty toilets and no actual picnic spots. The viewing tower is the main highlight there. Viewing more of the wildlife will require patience and tact but there are definitely a few animals you can spot. The signage within the park is scanty and could use some upgrading, be sure to go in good time to avoid getting lost.
