The Victoria Falls Bridge walk provided a great insight into the design and construction of the largest bridge construction in the world, circa 1905. The bridge crosses the Zambezi river, near the Victoria Falls and was part of our tour to Victoria Falls. The river forms the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia. We undertook a walking tour both under and over the bridge. The bridge also provides a platform for bungee jumping, a bungee swing and zip-line. We started the tour with George Andrew Hobson, aka Prince, the bridge designer who re-enacted his time in the 1900’s, describing the design, construction and logistics of delivering this 198m long and 128m high structure. One needs to visit Victoria falls town in Zimbabwe or Livingstone town in Zambia to witness this...
