In Chimanimani District for a short trekking vacation, an interesting village of 115,395 souls (Aug 2018 census) nestled in a valley at around alt 1449m, during our stay (mid Aug18) the temp ranged from 9c at night upto mid 20c, windy but nice for the daily trekking, a bit cold at night so tuck up warmly. The locals are very friendly and helpful, always got time to talk and offer advice. The village area is somewhat a little run down, needing a good spring cleaning, and maintenance, that is understandably not the first priory as the country is entering a new era. Major roads are paved and slightly pot holed, secondary roads are hardened track's and rough going on place's, but navigable with high road clearance vehicles, general utilities are reasonable some power cuts, but the water is soft, fantastic and like the local beers very drinkable.
