This one time largest man-made dam in the world still is a feat of engineering. It is a strategic resource and source of hydro-electric power for Zambia 🇿🇲 and Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 but it is also home to the world's best bream, tilapia and kapenta. It really should get 10 out of 10 but the rains 🌧 have been low and news of a drought make the Kariba Dam a bit worrisome. You can walk over the dam and see the engineers carry out some maintenance works way down at the bottom. You can also drive across the dam and talk to the security officers at the Zimbabwe end.
